Tearing it up!

Today's challenge was so fun. Remember when everything we created had a torn edge? That's so five minutes ago, but today, we did it again. I really like the cards I created. Take a look and let me know what you think.

When I saw the challenge, I immediately thought of this bear tearing his way through the paper. lol Isn't he the cutest scary looking bear? So, I stamped the bear using chocolate chip craft ink on kraft paper and clear embossed. I then colored him with my SU! markers! Then I layered the woodgrain paper onto black cs before tearing out the center and layering it over the bear. I sponged the inside of the paper, which was just white and way too stark. Then for a little more interest, I stitched around the edge too. I like that look, especially because it doesn't have to be straight. Now that's my kind of sewing. I stamped the sentiment with black craft ink and clear embossed before tearing around it and the black it is matted on. I used a big dimensional to really pop it up.

Well these two cards are about as different as night and day, don't you think? This one is so pretty. I love the new stamp set snow swirled and stamped the snowflakes with versamark and embossed with white onto vellum card stock. I then tore the edges before mounting it onto a white card, using the red brads to hold it in place. The sentiment is stamped with riding hood red and mounted it onto the riding hood red embossed scallop oval. Nesties are superb! I used the old stitched cranberry crisp ribbon, which really matches quite well irl. So, what do you think of this look?

Love that bear--he looks like he's going to jump out and grab whoever is holding the card! (in a friendly sort of way, of course...)

Karen, I love your Snow Swirl card. I am not really a bear person, LOL, but he is cute!
