Rubbernecker Spring Hop!

Hey there Sister Friends!! What's new? SO glad you could join the

Stampin' Sisterhood for our Springtime HOP!!

As always, we are SO excited to share with you!

Rubbernecker Stamps has a wide variety of stamps for your

Spring and Easter projects!

For my card today, I used stamps from four sets:
Garden Phrase Set SKU 508(for the sentiment)
Wild Garden Border 1 SKU 515-01 for the grass
Grapevine Basket SKU 15-02 for the basket
Easter Inchie SKU 436 for the eggs

I stamped the basket using Gathered Twigs ink onto the white card stock and colored with Copic markers. I then used my craft knife to cut the top of the basket so I could slip the eggs into it. I then cut/embossed the panel with Spellbinders Label die. The card front was stamped with the Wild Garden Border and the edges sponged. I then stamped the sentiment on the top of the card front using the same green ink. I stamped the eggs adding color with Copic markers and sparkle with AtYou pens.

    Getting my craft on!

I recently visited a home with a gorgeous wreath on the front door. I wanted one! So, I went to Hobby Lobby and found all the flowers were 50% off! Yipee! I started choosing flowers and flowers and flowers. I think I have four different kinds on my wreath. I also chose the berries with the squiggly branches and the pussy willows. They are soooooo cute.

I had the grapevine wreath at home, so I plugged in my trusty old glue gun and got busy. It took me about an hour which I didn't think was too bad and I am thrilled with the results. Now my front door has on it's Easter bonnet. I know lots of the world is still in winter mode, but it will probably hit 80 degrees here today, so I'm feeling springy!

So, yesterday I went to Joann's and found this cute little bunny on sale. I thought my wreath would be a great place for him to rest from all the hopping and digging up carrots. I wired him in place, so, after Easter I can easily remove him - if I want to. I like the wreath with or without! How about you?

    Pink Tulips birthday

I created this card for a friend's birthday tomorrow and the SCS Color Challenge this week. What's better than pinks and gray? I don't know! I love this color combo.

I stamped the tulips using pretty in pink and pink pirouette inks with always artichoke stems and leaves. That was cut/embossed with Spellbinders Labels Four, cutting the embossed edge off the white panel so the grey would show. The sentiment was punched with an oval and then mounted onto Spellbinders Parisian Accents in grey and white and stacked. The card front is embossed with Textile Textures and Thank You Set 5 with a little lace where the two panels meet.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!

    Single Leaf Rose on Black

I created this card using white, black and rose colored card stock. The rose stamp was inked with Aged Mahogany distress ink, stamped onto white card stock and colored with Copic markers. I then cut/embossed it using Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three. I added the Want2Scrap pearl nestabling to the fancy tag. I then stamped the stem and leaf again and colored them, cut them out and tucked them under the Fancy label which is popped up with foam squares onto the black panel which is embossed with Sizzix Thank You Set 5, matted with white and then attached to the rose card. I stamped the love sentiment onto the white card stock, inked around the edge with the Copic marker and popped it up on the card front. I added a few half pearls to embellish the sentiment panel and tie it to the image panel.

    Thanks for looking.

The card base is Gray Storm. I added a strip of the pink embossed with Swiss Dots folder and the other strip is Paper from The Authentique Uncommon pad. The edges are cut using Spellbinders Classic Scallop and Classic Triple Scallop. The pink edge of that panel is embossed with Organic Flourish. I then added the main panel and added yellow stickles to the center of the blossom. The sentiment is stamped with Basic Gray ink and the edges were dragged across the ink pad. For this card, I let the sentiment and the beautiful shimmery paper be the focus. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and embossed with gold embossing powder before cutting/embossing with Spellbinders Fancy Tags Two. The main panel is the beautiful shimmery paper from MFP which was embossed with Sizzix Thank You Set 5 matted with gold card stock. I took another panel of that gold and embossed it with Textile Texture folder and adhered it where the plain panel was left. I popped up the sentiment panel with foam squares. I added a small gold ribbon bow for the finishing touch.

For this card I stamped the bear image using Rich Cocoa Memento ink onto a light blue card stock. I mounted it onto the dark brown card stock and then stitched around the edges. The "bear with me" sentiment is all in one line, but I chose to stamp it this way, utilizing my stamp-a-ma-jig, then punching it out and mounting it onto a brown circle. I used linen thread behind the sentiment and added a little knot of it to the I forgot panel as well.

I stamped the teacup image onto white card stock using London Fog Memento ink and colored with Copic markers before cutting out and popping up. The card front is embossed with Thank You Set 5 and the sentiment stamped with Rose Red ink. I cut slits in the card front to weave the ribbon and then tied the bow.

For this one, I stamped the teapot onto white card stock and colored the image with Coic markers, then cut out and mounted onto the white Swiss Dot panel which is mounted onto the blue. I punched the top of the panel and added a ribbon. The sentiment is stamped onto the white card stock and it was cut/embossed/stenciled with Spellbinders Labels Three. The front of the card is embossed with Sizzix Corner Damask.

    I can stamp a rainbow!

Here is another sneak peek from a set being released next week by Mark's Finest Papers.

I used just one of the sentiments from the set Dogwood Blossoms, stamping it repeatedly in the colors of the rainbow. I then added the ribbon treatment on the right and mounted the card front onto a yellow card. Bright and cheery, don't you think?

Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to come back next week for the blog hop! It's gonna be great!

    A Sneak Peek!

Here is another sneak peek of a new set being released next week by Mark's Finest Papers.

I cut/embossed the card front using Spellbinders scalloped heart. I then stamped the Dogwood branch on the inside, adding the single blossom to the bottom to fill the heart shape a bit more. I inked the sentiment with Close to Cocoa marker, separating the words to fit the open areas. I added a grosgrain ribbon around the edge of the heart opening.

    Spring

This card is a sneak peek of a new set being released next week. I used dp from Kaisercraft and embossed the yellow panel with Thank You Set 5. I used blue ribbon for the one panel. The lilies are stamped using Pumice Stone distress ink and colored with Copic markers. I lined the edge of the front panel with the green Copic marker to make it stand out just a bit more. The word spring is embossed with white embossing powder.

    Be the kind of woman

I love this sentiment. I made this card for a friend who quoted this just the other day. Luckily, today's colors fit her home decor, so she should like it.

Alas, my inventory doesn't include Daffodil Delight, so I substituted Barely Banana. It's a little pale, but I think it works.

The sentiment is stamped onto the barely banana card stock using Soft Suede ink before being cut/embossed using Spellbinders Beaded Ovals. That is mounted onto Soft Suede card stock with all four corners punched with the MS Swirling Lace punch. I added the Poppy Parade which is cut/embossed with Spellbinders Parisian Motifs before embossing the entire front with Cuttlebug Textile Textures folder. I added clear rhinestones to the sentiment panel and added a bow of seam binding dyed with the Poppy Parade ink.

I think she will like it. Do you? Thanks for stopping by!

    Happily Ever After Rose

I created this card for the SCS technique challenge this week: create your own stripes. I cut two designer papers into different sized stripes and mounted them onto the brown striped designer paper which is matted with black. I then stamped the rose image onto vanilla card stock and colored with Copic markers before cutting out and popping up. The sentiment is part of the designer paper cut/embossed with Spellbinders ovals and scalloped ovals. I then added the triple bow of seam binding as a finishing touch.

    Birthday funny

I computer generated this sentiment to go with this image. It is a birthday card for my son-in-law. I hope he likes it.

The sentiment was printed onto the white card stock, then I stamped the image using Pumice Stone distress ink. I added the black photo corners and matted onto red and black. A very simple card with a funny sentiment. Well, since I'm on the other side of that hill, it isn't that funny! lol Or is it? Truth for sure.
