Pretty colors

I created this card for the color challenge this week. I really love these colors together. What do you think of them?

I stamped the image using baja breeze ink onto bashful blue cardstock. I added liquid pearls, diamond stickles, punched butterflies and flowers with pearl centers. The corners are punched using MS swirling lace corner punch and matting onto certainly celery card stock. I colored the seam binding with the baja breeze ink and crumpled and dried it. I added a flower made with the flower punches and a pearl in the center.

Stamps: Bubble Vines Large 537-03

I hope you like it and sure appreciate you stopping by for a look.

New creations

Here are some cards I've created lately.

This is one of the new stamps just released by Rubbernecker. I inked it using versamark and elegant eggplant ink and stamped onto vanilla cardstock and clear embossed before cutting with deckle edge scissors. The card front is Concord Crush with a punched strip of kraft (crumb cake) adhered before embossing with a Sizzix folder I added some vanilla ribbon. The sentiment (from Garden Shrub Set) is stamped onto vanilla with elegant eggplant ink and punched out, matted with kraft and pearls added.
Stamps: Square ornament 547, Garden Shrub Set 560

I love how this turned out. The iris and sentiment are in a new set from Mark's Finest Papers called Bearded Iris. My mother used to grow iris in our yard and we were both partial to the purple ones. Such beautiful flowers.

I stamped the iris image twice using versmark ink and embossing with gold before coloring with Copic markers. I used a Sizzix folder on the left side of the panel, then wrapped with the ribbon, added a bow and the sentiment which is also embossed with gold, cut/embossed with Spellbinders die and the edges colored with Copic, and a little Krylon gold leaf on the edges.

This card has no stamping, but is bright and colorful and fun. The dp has a lot of different color strips, so it made this card easy. The added flowers are a new SU! punch with a Kaiser scrapbook rhinestone flower added to the center. I then added punched leaves and popped them up. The little butterflies are pumpkin pie with yellow stickles added. A little blue ribbon and - DONE!

Thanks for stopping by!

Alike but different

Today Holly challenged us to make two cards using the same materials but making them different. What a fun thing to do. Here are my two cards. What do you think of the two different looks?

The first card is actually a 5-1/2" square. I stamped the ornament using spun sugar distress ink on white cs, matted with pink and then with brown. I added pink rhinestones and a bow of colored/scrunched seam binding. I stamped the sentiment and then airbrushed through the die.

Stamps: 10 Point Ornament 548, Garden Shrub Set 560

For the second card I stamped the same image - 10 point ornament using brown ink. I airbrushed around the edges and in the center with a copic marker. The sentiment is stamped with spun sugar ink and airbrushed too. The main image panel is matted with brown and above a panel of the dp. I used the same Lattice punch, but this time twice, making a double border. The seam binding was colored with the spun sugar ink and also with brown to distress it. I added pink rhinestones to the main image panel and one to the sentiment.

Who knew I would love this fairy image so much? I was surprised that I had such a great time coloring it. I stamped the image onto white cs using Rich Cocoa Distress Ink and then colored it with Copic Markers. I then cut/embossed it using Spellbinders Labels Thirteen die, and airbrushed the edges before removing from the die. I then added AtYou sparkle pen to the outside embossed edge. I added stickles to the fairy wings (they have to sparkle, don't they?) and to the grass as well. I decided the butterfly wing needed a little oomph, so I stamped it again onto vellum cardstock and colored it with the purple Copic. I left a tiny little tab on it, slit the main image and tucked that tab in to attach to the image. Here is a close up of that detail:

The sentiment is stamped onto the vellum cs. The bow is Toffee Satin Edge Ribbon and I used a button from my stash for the middle of the bow. I then heated the ribbon with my heat tool. I cut/embossed four of the center pieces from the Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Pendant dies from white cs then sponged them with the Vintage Photo ink and attached them to the back of the main image. The card is a 6" square of Basic Grey Indian Summer designer paper backed with Copper sparkle finish cardstock.
