Oh my goodness!

Wow, it has been a while since I posted. Sorry about that, but moving has taken it's toll on my old body! I sure have collected a lot of "stuff" that had to be organized and packed. I got all that done, then had to move it and now I am in the midst of unpacking it all. Remind me to never ever move again!

So, here are a few cards I've finally gotten the time to create, and I actually found the tools I needed to create them!

I love this new sentiment I recently got from Rubbernecker. I do amuse myself all the time. I stamped the sentiment using Barn Door distress ink onto white, cutting/embossing with a Spellbinders oval and mounting that on the black scalloped oval. I love the ruffled red gingham ribbon, don't you? That is mounted onto the ladybug paper from The Paper Company Studio and then onto the red cardstock.

I created this card for my new grandson's baby shower. I stamped the image with brown Memento ink and then colored with copic markers. The image was cut/embossed using Spellbinders Labels Eleven. To mat that, the chocolate cardstock was embossed with the next larger size of the same die. I added blue dew drops to each corner before mounting to the blue layer and then the white card front. The brown gingham bow finishes it off.

For this card, I stamped the darling dress form image from Mark's Finest Papers using Black Memento Ink and then coloring with Copic Markers. I really wanted to make this a simple card and one that can go right into the mail without extra postage, so I stamped the cute buttons using all the different rainbow color inks. The sentiment is also stamped with the black ink and then the yellow band was added to the bottom of the front of the card. Such a cute, cute image and I love the sentiments included in the set "Sew What" as well.

Here is one more. This one is using an image and sentiment from Rubbernecker as well - Smiles and thinks of you 504-06, and Wild Garden Border 1 515-01. The garden image was stamped with white craft ink and then heat embossed with white ep. I then sponged on ink the color of the card stock and then at the bottom a darker blue for a gradient look. It's subtle, but I like it. I then added the sentiment stamped with the dark blue and then punched the three butterflies, using a Martha Stewart punch out of a swirled vellum and added them. I backed the whole card with the dark blue card stock to really make it pop.

Thanks for stopping by! Come again soon. Now go and have a great day! I hope that will include stamping!

For this card I chose the single teapot and stamped with black ink then clear embossed before coloring with Copic markers. I then detail cut it out. It is popped up onto a red beaded oval. I put black dots into each of the "beads" with my black marker. That is mounted onto the black card front which is embossed with a Sizzix folder. I added the dangle red and white gingham check ribbon and black with white dots organdy which was heated for more dimension. Don't forget to peek inside for a look at just one of the cute sentiments that comes in the set.

For this card, I stamped the image and sentiment using Vintage Photo Distress ink. I sponged the edges of the dress panel with the same ink before mounting onto the brown card stock which has the corners punched with the wrought iron corner punch. I used the Fleur de Lis border punch along the bottom of the main panel. The sentiment is punched with a word window punch and mounted onto a punched oval. The purple card front is embossed with the Cuttlebug Textile Texture folder. The beautiful trim is also from Mark's Finest Papers and was machine stitched onto the purple panel. I stitched all the way around the panel. I just had to with the theme of this stamp set.

Oh I love this little bunny. I've named her love bunny! I kept this card very simple and I think it works because this bunny is sooooooo adorable. The other thing that really makes it work is the texture of the white card. It is also from Mark's Finest Papers. I added just a little ribbon bow and that was enough. Thanks for stopping by! Now hop on over to these blogs and leave comments so you can win a free stamp set!

Ode to Twilight!

Here is another sneak peek from a set being released next week by Mark's Finest Papers called In The Forest.

This morning after seeing that Twilight was one of the People's Choice awards last night, I was inspired to create this card. These colors look kind of twilightish to me. I stamped the image using Elegant Eggplant ink onto this fabulous color of paper from MFP. I love it and must order more. The edges are distressed and inked with the same ink again. The purple was cut/embossed with Spellbinders Lacey Circle. One of the reasons I love the clear acrylic stamps (the sentiment) is that you can shape them a bit. I shaped it to fit the shape of the circle, stamped with Versamark and embossed with silver ep. I added the purple organdy ribbon bow and then used silver twine/cord to tie on the charm which was colored with a silver paint pen. It worked great. The charm is also from MFP.

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

Here is a little peek at a new set being released next week by Mark's Finest Papers called Floral Tea. For this card I stamped the stacked tea cups using red ink on white cardstock. It reminds me of red work, if you know what that is. I love it. Stay tuned for the blog hop starting next Tuesday!

Get crackin!

I really need to get crackin' around here. I have lots of cards I need to create, but also pack up my house for my move! Sheesh! I'm thinking sleep is going to have to be sacrificed.

Here is my first card of the year, using Rubbernecker's Pansies stamp. I love pansies.

I started this card last night so I could let the Stickles dry overnight. Good idea! I'm sure I would have smeared it had I not just left it alone. lol I'm not sure that the colors blended that well on the flowers, but it worked very well on the leaves. I really like the result. What do you think?

The beautiful pansy image (by Rubbernecker) was stamped using Black ink and then I used yellow and pink stickles on the flowers. I didn't have any green stickles, so I colored some of the clear ones I have with green reinkers! Hey, it worked beautifully. I used a toothpick to apply it the leaves.

The corners and border are by Martha Stewart. The green panel is embossed using Birds and Swirls. I added pearls and a ribbon.
