Tuesday's color challenge

What fun today's colors presented for me. I made two cards, as one just wasn't enough.

This card is made by using the polka dot designer paper from SU, and then I ran it through the cuttlebug using the birds & swirls folder. I then sanded it to show the white. I love how that looks. The bottom half is some of the new dp from the Occasions mini catalog in wild wasabi. I then tied the gorgeous satin ribbon around it, with a ribbon slide in the center. I cut the bottom tab off the hardware. Want to know how? You will cringe when I tell you. Use your old craft and rubber scissors! I know, it makes your skin crawl, but it works really well. I tried wire cutters, but they didn't work at all. Now tin snips might, but who has those in their stamp room? Not me! I adhered a square of the same saffron dp as the top of the card and then mounted the sentiment on dimensionals. The thank you was stamped with Purely Pomegranate ink and then versamark and heat embossed before I punched it out. I really love the look of this card. It reminds me of a military medal, but I love it. That ribbon is just so rich and dreamy. I hope you like it.

Wow! What a pretty project! I love the idea of sanding off the paper to bring through the white. Cool idea!
