We had hamburgers, corndogs, potato chips, Fritos and rootbeer! Oh yum. There were contests too: bubble gum bubble blowing, dancing, limbo and hula hoop!

And that is me in all my 50's glory with my skinny self after my 54 lb. weight loss! The earrings were my Mother's and are really from the fifties, as is my necklace. It's one I had when I was a little girl. The glasses are borrowed from my sister. Isn't this a hoot?

Oh, Karen, how much fun you all had!!! What a riot those glasses are, too. You look mah-velous in them. I had a pair similar to those when I was in kindergarten. I think my grandma picked them out for me. LOL!!!
We had a family barbecue at our place not too long ago, and I brought out the hula hoop. I beat the youngsters in a hula hoop contest!!! Go figure.
And it looks like you had a nice, big area all squared away for the twistin' and jitterbuggin'.
