I want to share a card with you today that features a sentiment made just for me. I tell ya, I think of the dates way ahead of time and then they seem to fly right by me. Anyone else have that problem? In fact, I still have my 2008 Christmas cards to send out! Luckily they don't have the year on them. Maybe I should address them in July and then ... forget to send them - AGAIN!
This card is featuring two of the stamps from the new Rubbernecker Floral collection. I took the colors from this fun paper called Sorbet - Mint Fudge by Kaisercraft. Yum, that is my favorite flavor!!!!! So, I stamped the sentiment onto the light pink cardstock with brown ink and cut/embossed/mounted it using Spellbinders Small Deckled Mega Rectangles. That always makes me giggle. It's kind of an oxymoron, isn't it? lol Sorry, back to the program. The leaves were stamped onto the flecked natural cardstock with Gable Green ink. It's been a long time since I've used that color, but it went so well with the paper, I couldn't resist. Next I colored the flower stamp with markers before stamping right over those lovely leaves. I even hit the tops of the flowers with the pink marker again to give them a little more dimension. Only one corner is rounded on this panel. Kind of a fun look, don't you think? I added the pink gingham ribbon to the one corner for a little more pizzazz and voila! There you have my late (as usual) birthday card!
I hope this brings you a smile today! Have a great, great day!

SNORT!!!
My family knows--if they get a card on time from me--SURELY it is the end of the world!
What a beautiful way to EXTEND the celebration!!! (that is my justification for sending late cards--"I am EXTENDING your celebration"--lol!)
Great colors and beautiful stamping, Karen!!
Very pretty, Karen! I love the floral panel and neat sentiment! Hope your weather is nicer than ours--we got 2 inches of snow on Wed., then nice yesterday, melting most of it and a balmy 28 degrees this morning! I'm so ready for spring! Sue (suen)
