Oh my goodness, I had more fun creating these projects. Maybe it is because of the colors, but I don’t know, I just love the look of these. I hope you do too.

So, I started out making this card by stamping the leaves.

First I inked the medium sized leaves (you get three different sizes in the set) with Peeled Paint Distress Ink, stamped it once and then without re-inking, stamped again, moving it slightly. Next I inked the smaller leaf stamp with the same ink and stamped it over the previous images. Nice. I then punched the flowers using Martha Stewart’s 3 in 1 hydrangea and two shades of purple card stock. I added dimension by using my stylus and pressing the centers into a mouse pad. Those were glued onto the image, then I added the small pearls to the centers. The sentiment (also included in this set) was stamped using Lavender Lace ink. Now, what to use in that upper left corner? I used diluted reinker in a plastic bag to color my seam binding, scrunching it up and then drying it with my heat tool. I love the different shades it takes on when you do this. I tied a simple bow, leaving the ends nice and long and adhering them where I wanted them with glue dots. Hmmm, I wanted more! So, I punched the edge with the Martha Stewart Swirling lace punch. The inside of the card has the smallest leaves stamped there as well. You can see them peeking out if you look carefully. Ahhhhh! I love this girly girl card. How about you?

I love this one so much, I created more using basically the same ideas.

another 560

Thinking this would be a great gift set, I created a little holder for several of these cards using the same punches and a Spellbinders dies.

card holder 560

560 Garden shrub Blooms 237-SO

I added a bit of shimmer to the sentiment of this one with AtYou pens.

Stamps: 560 Garden Shrub Set, Blooms 237-SO

Accessories: Martha Stewart 3 in 1 hydrangea punch, swirling lace corner and border punches, Spellbinders Parisian Motifs and Parisian Accents, liquid pearls, half pearls

Thanks so much for stopping by! Please visit again soon!

Karen, I actually gasped when I opened your blog post and saw this amazing creation. It screams elegance and feminity and creativity. The colors are so inviting and the flowers and punch work on the side looks as if you were looking through a garden trellis. did I spell that right. LOL! Did you upload this on SCS? I have to put it in my favorites this week so it can be shown off in the weekly favorites. You are one talented girl!
