Asian Delights Featured July 17 Wild & Free Featured July 18 Garden Art Featured July 19 Hot & Spicy Featured July 20
For this card, I stamped the wildlife images onto this linen textured paper which gives them such a great look. It is a one layer card, so I added the red brads in the four corners to give it a little more oomph! This card uses a bit of designer paper as the base for the great wild life stamps. I then added a small sentiment panel which was stamped with the sentiment from the set, cut/embossed using a Spellbinders die and then I added the animal print over the top using Versmark ink and clear embossing. I backed a jumbo eyelet with a brown card stock circle and tied some brown ribbon through it, adding a bit of copper cording around the ribbon. Please hop along with us! Blog Hop Day 1 - Asian Delights
Welcome to Mark's Finest Papers a Heinrich Company's July Blog Hop!
This month's New Stamp Set Releases areSuch a simple card, and so easy to mail. I stamped the word images onto the red card stock using Versamark ink and heat embossed with gold. The Geisha girl image is stamped using Black Soot distress ink and clear embossed. The red card front is matted with black. I then stamped the sentiment onto black and heat embossed using the gold powder and then backed it with red. I used gold and red cording behind the sentiment panel with just a simple knot for more interest.Aren't these blossoms just gorgeous? Yes! I stamped the same image twice onto the white panel which is cut/embossed with Spellbinders Romantic Rectangle die. I colored in the images with Distress markers before mounting the panel onto the coral colored card stock. The top of the coral layer is embossed with a Spellbinders M-Bossabilities folder. I added the beautiful trim (also from MFP) to the top of the image panel.Asian Delights Featured July 17 Wild & Free Featured July 18 Garden Art Featured July 19 Hot & Spicy Featured July 20 Please hop along with us! The sentiment is stamped with Victorian Velvet Distress ink. The edge of the card is punched with EK Success Scroll Pattern Punch. I added Liquid Pearls White Opal to the centers of the small punched flowers and also here and there on the scroll punched edge.

My card details:
I love the look of rolling hills made out of designer papers and thought it would be a perfect backdrop for this cute train. I chose very unconventional colors for a train, but really like the look. I think the one train car is filled with cotton candy! Oh baby!
I stamped the image onto white card stock using black memento ink and then colored with Copic markers using colors from the floral paper. I cut the hill shapes with a rotary cutter and then sewed the top edges of each hill. The train is cut out and popped up with foam tape and squares. I do love the fact that these stamps are so easy to shape, so I took advantage of that and stamped the Sorry This Is Late sentiment, matching the shape of the hill and using Lavender Lace ink. I cut stencils from scrap paper and sponged on the clouds with white craft ink.
On the inside, I covered the stitching with a panel of purple paper and stamped the same train image onto it using the Lavender Lace ink. I embossed both the top and bottom edges of the panel with Frills border embossing folder. I then stamped the other part of the sentiment to the bottom inside of the card. It reads: My Train of Thought Keep Derailing! Ha ha ha, that is a sentiment I will be using quite often!
I hope you like this card!

Oooooo, that would hurt! lol This sentiment and the barbed wire images are from this new set called Hey Cowboy. I put the two sentiment stamps with the smaller barbed wire image in the center all together on my acrylic block, inked with Rusty Hinge distress ink and stamped onto the white card stock. I then stamped the larger image of barbed wire around the edges to create a frame for the sentiment and sponged the edges of that panel with the Rusty Hinge ink. I matted it with the dark brown card stock and added brads to all four corners. The rust colored panels are embossed with the Cuttlebug stars folder and inked with Vintage Photo ink before cutting into strips and weaving them for the border on the brown card front.

I just love the cheery look of daffodils and they bring a smile with this sweet sentiment. I stamped the image of the daffodils with Pumice Stone distress ink so it would be a very subtle line. I then colored the image with Copic markers. The sentiment was inked with Versamark ink and then the green before stamping and then heat embossing with clear embossing powder. Don't you love the beautiful doily look at the top and bottom? I used Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles for both. I cut just about 1/4" off the bottom of the card and the cut the Romantic Rectangle long side and added it to the bottom of the card. I then cut the short edge of the rectangle and added it to the top of the card, making sure I got the beautiful corners on the card. I added yellow ribbon around the card and tied a bow. I hope it brings a smile to your face.
Here is one more card I made with the set! Thanks so much for looking!

There are such cute dogs and sentiments in this new set. For this card, I kept it very simple. The cute dog is stamped onto the white card front with black ink and only his tongue sticking out is colored. I then stamped the sentiment with red ink and added the die cut picket fence. A little red gingham ribbon (also from MFP) and black card stock backing and it is all finished.

Rubbernecker Mother's Day Hop

My Mother has passed away, so I can't send her a Mother's Day card, but I can and will certainly be thinking of her on Mother's Day. This sentiment was perfect for my card. In case you can't read it, it says, "If I had a flower for every time I thought of you, I could walk in my garden forever."
I stamped the roses image onto shimmery white card stock, added a little color with markers and cut the image out. Using a craft knife, I cut around a few of the petals. I then attached it to the Webster's Pages designer paper using foam squares to pop up those petals I had cut around. I also used a few small glue dots to hold down the image around that so the dimension would really show up. I stamped the sentiment onto the dp using Aged Mahogany distress ink and clear embossed. I then mounted all that onto a Rose Red card front. I colored a length of seam binding and some white lace with Copic markers and alcohol and added that to the corner of the card. You have to have lace and ribbon on a Mother's Day card, right?

Making a mother's day card really made me think of my Mother and miss her. I can't give her this card, but I made it for her anyway. I kept it very simple, stamping the image and sentiment using versamark ink onto the pink card stock and embossing with white. I added the pink ribbon with just a knot and then added the beaded stick pin.

Living out west, as I do, this stamp reminded me of the beautiful mountain ranges on the horizons. I am still awed by the sight every day. I love it. I stamped the image using Faded Jeans distress ink and added a little bit of Elegant Eggplant and greyed the horse and cactus just a little bit. I then tore the edges of the paper to create the different mountain ranges and again sponged on the purple. That's how they look to me in real life. The card base is the darker blue. I then added the twine, adding more of the color with my ink pad to the blue one. A simple one layer card. I hope you like it. Thanks so much for stopping by! I really love lighthouse images so this set is one of my favorites. I kept it fairly simple by stamping the image with Barn Door ink onto a white panel. I don't know why lighthouses also make me think of picket fences, but they do, so I added one I cut with a die. I popped it up with foam tape to add dimension. I then stamped the sentiment using red onto a small piece of white card stock and popped that up over the fence. The white panel is framed with a red piece of card stock and then adhered onto the white card front.

For my card today, I used stamps from four sets:
Garden Phrase Set SKU 508(for the sentiment)
Wild Garden Border 1 SKU 515-01 for the grass
Grapevine Basket SKU 15-02 for the basket
Easter Inchie SKU 436 for the eggs
I stamped the basket using Gathered Twigs ink onto the white card stock and colored with Copic markers. I then used my craft knife to cut the top of the basket so I could slip the eggs into it. I then cut/embossed the panel with Spellbinders Label die. The card front was stamped with the Wild Garden Border and the edges sponged. I then stamped the sentiment on the top of the card front using the same green ink. I stamped the eggs adding color with Copic markers and sparkle with AtYou pens.
