Pink Daffodils

Are there pink daffodils in nature, or are they only yellow? Hmmmm, I don't know, but all is fair in stamping. I wanted pink daffodils, so I have pink daffodils. This was created for a challenge on SCS to use things we used way back when we first started stamping. We couldn't use some of the newer items we use now. NO EMBOSSING, NO DIE CUTS, NO PEARLS, NO SEWING. So, I pulled out the old eyelets, I used black ink to stamp the image and used a marker to draw the border on the image panel. I haven't used eyelets much in the last few years, but they were BIG when I started. This stamp set is new - one of the new releases from MFP called Daffodil Greetings. Thanks for stopping by!

I created this card by casing a card by one of my Stampin' Sisters, Charlene. Isn't it pretty with these lovely papers? I stitched a lot on this one too. Stamps: Garden Phrase Set SKU 508 by Rubbernecker Paper: DP's London Market by Pink Paislee Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin' Sisterhood Father's Day Hop

Hey, hey, hey, welcome to Rubbernecker's Stampin' Sisterhood Father's Day Blog Hop! My card is more of a any time masculine card, don't you think?

I stamped the image using Vintage Photo distress ink and then colored with Copic Markers. I added the double grass border (I used both the positive and the negative) which is sponged with Peeled Paint distress ink for a little more texture on the grass. The main panel is matted with a darker green card stock.

My card details:
I love the look of rolling hills made out of designer papers and thought it would be a perfect backdrop for this cute train. I chose very unconventional colors for a train, but really like the look. I think the one train car is filled with cotton candy! Oh baby!

I stamped the image onto white card stock using black memento ink and then colored with Copic markers using colors from the floral paper. I cut the hill shapes with a rotary cutter and then sewed the top edges of each hill. The train is cut out and popped up with foam tape and squares. I do love the fact that these stamps are so easy to shape, so I took advantage of that and stamped the Sorry This Is Late sentiment, matching the shape of the hill and using Lavender Lace ink. I cut stencils from scrap paper and sponged on the clouds with white craft ink.

On the inside, I covered the stitching with a panel of purple paper and stamped the same train image onto it using the Lavender Lace ink. I embossed both the top and bottom edges of the panel with Frills border embossing folder. I then stamped the other part of the sentiment to the bottom inside of the card. It reads: My Train of Thought Keep Derailing! Ha ha ha, that is a sentiment I will be using quite often!
I hope you like this card!

Oooooo, that would hurt! lol This sentiment and the barbed wire images are from this new set called Hey Cowboy. I put the two sentiment stamps with the smaller barbed wire image in the center all together on my acrylic block, inked with Rusty Hinge distress ink and stamped onto the white card stock. I then stamped the larger image of barbed wire around the edges to create a frame for the sentiment and sponged the edges of that panel with the Rusty Hinge ink. I matted it with the dark brown card stock and added brads to all four corners. The rust colored panels are embossed with the Cuttlebug stars folder and inked with Vintage Photo ink before cutting into strips and weaving them for the border on the brown card front.

I just love the cheery look of daffodils and they bring a smile with this sweet sentiment. I stamped the image of the daffodils with Pumice Stone distress ink so it would be a very subtle line. I then colored the image with Copic markers. The sentiment was inked with Versamark ink and then the green before stamping and then heat embossing with clear embossing powder. Don't you love the beautiful doily look at the top and bottom? I used Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles for both. I cut just about 1/4" off the bottom of the card and the cut the Romantic Rectangle long side and added it to the bottom of the card. I then cut the short edge of the rectangle and added it to the top of the card, making sure I got the beautiful corners on the card. I added yellow ribbon around the card and tied a bow. I hope it brings a smile to your face.

Here is one more card I made with the set! Thanks so much for looking!

There are such cute dogs and sentiments in this new set. For this card, I kept it very simple. The cute dog is stamped onto the white card front with black ink and only his tongue sticking out is colored. I then stamped the sentiment with red ink and added the die cut picket fence. A little red gingham ribbon (also from MFP) and black card stock backing and it is all finished.

Big Dog Birthday

This background is a new to me technique called Magical Masking tape. You take a length of masking tape and ink the sticky side and apply it to glossy card stock, press down (applying the ink to your card stock) then removing the tape, leaving only the ink. I used two different inks, Rusty Hinge and Vintage Photo and applied in stripes. I then stamped over that with the dog image and the Happy Birthday sentiment using black ink. The other sentiment is stamped onto white card stock using the Rusty Hinge ink, matted with black and popped up. I added a small piece of ribbon, knotted in a very masculine way, don't you think? Hee hee hee These stamps are from a new set "Fabulous Dogs" being released tomorrow by Mark's Finest Papers a Heinrich Co. Be sure to come back and enjoy the blog hop!!! You might win a prize!

Ruffles and Flowers

Hi! Welcome to my blog. Thanks so much for stopping by!

I cut/embossed the flowers from two different patterns of red paper, layered them and added them as in the sketch challenge this week, adding dimension with foam squares. The ribbon is ruffled. Isn't it cute? I stamped the sentiment directly onto the card front with barn door distress ink.

The butterfly and the sentiment are a sneak peek of a new set being released next week by Mark's Finest Papers called Daffodil Greetings. The butterfly was stamped onto white card stock with barn door distress ink and clear embossed before being cut out and added as one of the elements of the sketch. I added some faux stitching to the corners.

Corner Focus

I stamped the Hawaiian Vine image with Pumice Stone ink and then colored with Copic markers. That panel is embossed with The Paper Co. Flourish Journal folder. The doily is cut from Core'dinations card stock and backs the sentiment which was stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with gold. That is cut/embossed with Spellbinders Fleur de Lis die. I then added the bow and then pink dots were added to the image to coordinate with the ribbon.

Feeling sentimental

These papers are from Stampin' Up! The green strips are embossed with the Sizzix Damask #5 folder. The sentiment is cut/embossed with Spellbinders Lacy Circles and mounted onto the Old Olive circle. I added the punched butterflies for a bit more dimension.

Get Well Magnolia

I created this card for a color challenge to use Pool Party, Lucky Limeade and Peach Parfait. I used the new set from MFP called Mother's Magnolias. It is so nice. The sentiment is from another new set, Flaps My Wattles.

I stamped the image onto white card stock using Pumice Stone ink, coloring with Copic markers, and cutting out. I stamped the center of the flower again and cut it out, puffed it up with a stylus and a pop dot. The flower is mounted onto a white panel which is cut/embossed using Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Rectangles and stamped the sentiment on with Peach Parfait ink. The card is Lucky Limeade and I embossed just the center of it with Sizzix Damask #5 folder. I then added the two panels of Pool Party card stock which are embossed with the Sizzix Thank You Set 5.
